This powerful collection is published by the Gulf Coast Writers Association (GCWA)—an organization I am proud to be a member of here in Florida. The book features authentic accounts of survival and humanity from the community following the devastating September 2022 hurricane.
My story chronicles the raw, internal experience of making profound spiritual and emotional decisions in the immediate aftermath of chaos. For those familiar with my work on grief, non-linear healing, and finding Sacred
Space, this piece is a testament to the moments of clarity and self-reclamation that can emerge even in the face of absolute disaster. It touches on how, even when the world is stripped bare, we find the core of what truly matters.
